I recently bought a new PC running Windows 7 Prof 64-bit with 12 GB of RAM. PSM appears to be quite unstable on this OS as compared to Windows XP SP2 and SP3.

Every single day, PSM hangs and/or crashes multiple times. Most of my script extensions no longer run to completion either -- they crash PSM.

So, what's the secret to getting PSM and my script extensions to run correctly under Win 7 64-bit, without hanging or crashing all the time?

Thank you,

-Don

No secret. It seems to be working fine for most people, and I'm not aware of any immediate issues. Have you tried running it in XP mode?

No, I have not. I tried installing XP Mode for another program but the install got messed up somehow, there appears to be no way to uninstall, and there is no "fix" option. So I must now manually run the virtual machine before being able to access the program. Not especially convenient.

Have been running PSM under Win 7 x64 Ultimate with hardly any problems. Don't understand why this occurring with your machine.

Don't know why the text "I have tried several times..." etc., has been added to my message.
I have tried several times to turn off forum notices. I have unchecked the setting etc.. but still am receiving them. Kindly turn them off.

Set the exe file's compatibility mode to XP SP3 a few days ago. It seems to have helped with the hangs and crashes but did little for my script crashes. Just haven't been up to debugging the beasts, since it's not a simple task.
