Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I've needed to move or edit the contents of a custom column that's displayed off-screen (scrolled to the right) in the Active Securities view, which worked great in the past.

However, when I now attempt to perform any of the following actions, each attempt results in the display immediately moving all the way to the left-most column (the normal, un-scrolled view). When trying to edit the contents, the edit box ends up being located under some other column on the left side of the screen.

  1. Click a column heading that is off-screen, in order to change the sort-by column.

  2. Click and hold the mouse button down, on a column heading that is off-screen, to drag the column to a new position.

  3. Click to edit the contents of a custom column that is off-screen.

Might this problem have been caused by the recent change to this view which allows it to remember the vertical display position in each Account Tab?

I'm using the latest version of PSM Gold that's available for download.

Thanks,

-Don

PS. The size of the PSM window does not matter.

Also, I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit.

Does the problem only occur with custom columns, or regular columns as well?

I modified my original post to numbered items.

#1 and #2 are for BOTH column types.

#3 is for the custom column type.

How do you click a column heading that is off the screen?

That's my point; it's not off-screen because you have to bring it into view to click on it or drag it. I tried that here with regular and custom columns, and can not reproduce the problem at this time. I will keep an eye out for it though.

Hi Anatoly,

Yes, I'm talking about columns that are off-screen, unless you scroll the PSM display to the right so they become visible -- then click on one of the column headings or try to edit a custom column value.

Since you are not able to duplicate this, and other bugs I've been reporting recently, I'm beginning to wonder if all of them are portfolio-specific. So, I created a backup of our portfolio, including price history, notes, scripts (I'm assuming), etc., for your use in duplicating the problems I report.

Yes, I first removed our current active holdings and previous buy/sell transactions. I've uploaded the file to our web site and will send you the link in e-mail.

Thank you,

-Don
