I'm using PSM Gold 9.3.3 with the Yahoo quote server and I must update the quotes five or six times to get what I think are the correct prices. The prices displayed will sometimes be old prices mixed with new. I just keep updating until I get the lowest total, which is most likely correct.
I've used this for many years and I have now lost confidence in the prices it displays at any given time. Is there a fix for this.

Dave,

Fortunately the problem is with Yahoo, not PSM, so you can always switch to a better quote service such as TD Ameritrade or DTN IQFeed. If you want to read more about why some tickers don't update as often as others, go here:

I have the same type of problem- and I suspect all yahoo! users must have since the downloaded .csv data is contaminated by a tendency to return the closing data from about a week earlier. This false data is returned for days on end.

Do you think if more people write to Yahoo they will try to fix the problem? They did not answer me!

If you write to them and describe the problem in terms of their own data feed, rather than in PSM, it may help. But we've gotten about the same response with the previous data corruption issue; they say they will fix it, and so far I haven't seen any indication that it has been fixed.

That being said, thanks to rodm31 for figuring out the exact problem with the data feed, last night I was able to add a date filter so that old data is not accepted by PSM.

I don't want to release the new build without a little bit more testing, but you all can try it now here:

Ok, it looks like there will be at least one revision of the filter, because it doesn't always update when it gets good data.

Great detective work rodm31 !! Thank you. This problem has been plaguing me since last week.

Thank you Anatoly, for your quick response and fix to this problem.

Sure wish some PSM user had an inside contact at Yahoo so we could all find out what's going on with CSV feed support, if anything at all.

Just for the record Yahoo did appear to fix the other data corruption problem (500....million dollar price problem) a week or so ago.
