I see that it is allowed to make custom columns. What are the restrictions on a memo type column. How many characters can it contain, how often can you update it? Thank you.

There are really no length restrictions, but since it's a column, you probably want to be reasonable otherwise you will run out of room on the screen. You can update it as often as you want, since it is not updated by the software.

Thanks for the reply. So the memo column will be a big as the info you put into it. I was hoping it would show only as much as the column was able to hold without growing. And keep the remainder off screen until that line is active.

You are correct, it will only show text on the screen up to the width of the column. It does not automatically resize based on the text size. So you can put as much text into it as you want, you just won't be able to see it all on the screen.
