I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
PSM Gold Version 9.12 worked fine.

With Versions 9.13 or 9.14 I get a crash when the program starts (see below).

When I reinstall Version 9.12 back on top of the crashed versions, it works fine again.

Thanks for any ideas.

I tested the software on Windows 7, so I'm not sure why it's crashing for you. Unfortunately the crash report does not contain nearly enough information for me to analyze the crash.

The first thing I would suggest is to uninstall then reinstall the software. If that doesn't work, I can send you a debugging version of the software to try and determine the crash location. Please contact me by email at support@personalstockmonitor.com.

Thank you for the fast reply.

I took your advice and used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall PSM, including registry items, but not my data.

Version 9.14 now works. I lost all my Preferences, but not my data.

Thanks again.

I still get lots of crashing. I just installed PSM Gold again, after uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller, and deleting all registry entries.

The next time I started PSM, it crashed!

After messing around with settings for a while I found that if, in the Compatiblilty mode, I choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3), I don't get any more crashes upon starting.

I have no idea why this is, nor what I lose under Windows 7, but at least it works.

What is weird though, is that I never had this problem with versions 9.12 or below.

I'm not sure why it's crashing for you either, especially on startup, as we've been testing on Windows 7 all along, and have many customers using it on Windows 7 without incident. But I guess setting compatibility mode is a good workaround.

BTW, you can try the current test build at

to see if it improves anything for you.

Test build did not help either. Tried twice.

Then went back to Compatibility mode (Windows XP Service Pack 3) and it works fine.

I must have some other program(s) that interferes with it.
